Rsolution/Colour Depth

Image Resolution

Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. The bigger the image resolution then the sharper an image will look. An image containing a lot of pixels is known for high quality images but with large file sizes. TIFF images have better image resolution and quality, this is because they support lots of colours like RGB, which give the image better looking colour and make the resolution of an image larger which affects image size.

Colour Depth

In computer graphics, color depth or bit depth is the number of bits used to indicate the color of a single pixel in a bitmapped image or video frame buffer. Colour depth is a 8-bit colour graphic, it is a method of saving and storing an image files information. Each pixel is represented by one 8-bit Byte. The maximum number of colours that can be displayed is 256. The 8-bit colour graphics describe the red, green and blue colours value in an image.
